Robert Harrison Named as Director of Interactive Services

Long Island, NY - Austin & Williams (Hauppauge, NY), a leading New York strategic advertising and marketing agency, announced the appointment of Robert Harrison as Director of Interactive Services. Mr. Harrison brings over 25 years of experience as a skilled business analyst and system architect with significant experience designing a variety of business applications and enterprise systems. His knowledge and skill set has been applied across extensive new media projects, including the production of complex Internet-enabled applications and web sites.

Most recently, Mr. Harrison served as Director of Interactive Services and Web Developer with Linx Communications (Smithtown, NY), where his role encompassed the analysis of clients' business needs and the correlating design and development of various online applications and web sites. His responsibilities also included the design, development and deployment of the firm's corporate Intranet, management of all servers and in-house IT infrastructure, and the maintenance of over 50 active client sites.

Additionally, Mr. Harrison was an Independent Consultant for Third Millennium Sciences, Inc. (New York, NY). In this position, he designed and programmed interactive tools ranging from web-enabled training programs and application modules to large-scale global networking solutions, secure Intranet applications and web sites for major corporations and associations.

Among the other posts held by Mr. Harrison was that of Senior GUI Consultant/Implementation Trainer for Seagull Software Systems (Raleigh, NC), User Interface Designer and Technical Writer for Concord Management Systems (Tampa, FL) and Course Designer/Trainer for Anacomp, Inc. (Sarasota, FL).

Mr. Harrison also served with the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Power Operator.

Well-respected within the advertising and interactive media community, Mr. Harrison served on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Advertising Club from 2003 to 2005. He also was a Board Member for the Long Island Web Developers Guild from 2000 to 2001.

Mr. Harrison, who is a Certified Advanced Open Water Diver, a 32nd Degree Master Mason in New York, an avid Harley enthusiast and member of the New York City HOG Chapter, resides with his wife, DonnaAnn, in Douglaston, NY.
