Long Island, NY - Eva LaMere, executive vice president at Austin & Williams, a leading New York strategic advertising and marketing agency, was recently a featured guest on an advertising segment broadcast on Telecare (Uniondale, NY), the television station of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Drew Bogner interviewed Ms. LaMere for the "Hidden Persuaders in Advertising" segment, which was developed by Molloy College as part of its regular programming for Telecare. In it, the 20-year advertising and marketing veteran shared her expertise and insights into how different techniques are used to motivate individuals towards a particular action or belief. Approximately 40 students from Kellenberg High School and Elmont High School participated in the segment, asking a range of questions about advertising and what motivates people to purchase a particular product or service.
Ms. LaMere, who began her career at Foote, Cone & Belding (New York, NY), brings great intensity and energy to Austin & Williams' client programs. She is involved in the strategic development, planning and execution of comprehensive advertising and marketing programs for diverse B2B and B2C businesses applying both traditional and new media to gain the optimum outcomes.
"What they all advertisers have in common," notes Ms. LaMere, "is the goal to elicit a response from their target markets – whether that be a decision to purchase something, request information or simply remember a company's name and branding message. Often the nuances or ‘hidden persuaders' are so subtle that most people aren't even aware they are being influenced."
Based on Long Island, New York, Austin & Williams is a full-service marketing and advertising agency specializing in research-driven, results-oriented campaigns for clients in ultra-competitive environments such as health care, financial services, higher education and hospitality.
