Austin & Williams recently announced the appointment of Danielle Lombelino as Account Coordinator. She will assist with account management, client service and communications on such key agency accounts as Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, the Crest Hollow Country Club and Flushing Savings.
While Danielle joins A&W from a public relations firm specializing in museum marketing, she first attracted the agency's attention during the annual Intern Career Advancement Program (ICAP). The brainchild of Chief Creative Officer Rick Chiorando, the program was designed to stop the "brain drain" in Long Island's advertising industry by providing paid internships to local college students.
"We were very impressed with Danielle when we met her as a college student," explains Kim Brussell, Vice President, Client Services. Danielle was hired as an intern by the New York Islanders hockey team, but Kim says, "she stayed in the back of our minds. When a position became available, we gave her a call." The timing was perfect, according to Danielle.
"In my previous position, I was never involved in the design and media trafficking process and I was eager to learn. At A&W, I'm bridging the gap between fascinating creative and account management – in a big way", she explains. A graduate of Dowling College, Danielle earned her bachelor degree in marketing in January and is currently pursuing a master degree in management and leadership. She resides in Patchogue.
