Austin & Williams Strengthens "Most-Awarded Agency" Position

November 20, 2008

Long Island, NY - Austin & Williams strengthened its position as Long Island's most-awarded advertising agency when the strategic marketing and communications firm racked up two more wins - including "Best Web Site Developer" - at this year's "Best of" competition sponsored by Long Island Business News.

The awards are the latest in a string of industry wins this year for the agency, which has long been recognized for their creativity, innovation and results-oriented campaigns. Austin & Williams also took home the most "Best of Long Island" awards in the Long Island Ad Club's 35th Annual BOLI Awards program, three awards in the prestigious, international 28th Telly Awards program recognizing excellence in cable television, as well as the most awards at higher education's 2007 Admissions Marketing National Report.

To agency President Ken Greenberg, winning isn't the goal, but the recognition of good work is important.

"As in every industry, recognizing high standards of performance is important because it gives the marketplace a benchmark by which to measure quality work and shows them where to find it," said Greenberg. "In that way, awards do serve a purpose." But Greenberg is quick to point out that for the agency, it's bottom line results for the client, not trophies for the shelves, that count.

"In today's economy, it's especially important that we deliver web sites, ads, direct mail and collateral that are not only creative, but that meet clients' sales and marketing goals. That demands a high level of creativity balanced by sound strategy and sophisticated marketing tools. That's what we strive to achieve and why we are successful. It's the ultimate reward."

Based on Long Island, New York, Austin & Williams is a full-service marketing and advertising agency specializing in research-driven, results-oriented campaigns for clients in ultra-competitive environments such as health care, financial services, higher education and hospitality
