Mobile Banking - Anytime, Anyplace

There was a great article on mobile banking in a recent eMarketer newsletter. Thanks to smartphones and 3G networks, there's been a significant increase in the demand for mobile banking applications in recent years. Although the standard web browser is still the top method for accessing an online bank account, banking through a dedicated application was the second most preferred way to check one's personal financial information.

In fact, 25 percent of respondents admitted that they use mobile banking while running errands, 15 percent bank through their phone while commuting, and 9 percent log in while on vacation.

Simply put, numbers like this are hard to ignore.The fact is that mobile banking is here to stay and will likely continue to grow even more so in becoming a common and accepted form of banking.
