A&W Recovering from Blizzard 2010

by Robert Harrison

Along with the rest of Long Island and the greater New York metro area, Austin & Williams found itself snowed out yesterday by the blizzard of 2010. The blizzard may have stopped us from coming into the office, but the dedicated staff of A&W continued to serve our clients and maintain production schedules by working from home as the snow fell.

I cannot say for sure what each A&W team member was doing from moment to moment, but I can say that admist a flurry of emails, phone calls, and file transfers, we stayed  fully operational throughout the day. I know that I frequently found myself gazing out the window and taking an occasional break to get in some much needed snow shoveling, but for the most part work continued with barely a hiccup. I did see on Facebook that one of our employees managed to find the time to bake brownies in between all the calls and emails. Wish I could have been there... hot brownies and blizzard snow... cozy!

In spite of it all, we kept our businees running and our clients fully supported. What a staff we have! I'm proud to be part of such a dedicated team.

Today, we are back to real world. As you can see from the photo we'll be digging out for awhile. This is A&W's outdoor eating area where we have our summer cookouts and hot dog lunches. Looks like we'll be eating inside for while... till June I think.
